deixis-prepare-connector
Prepares existing geometry for native/custom paint without repeating routing. Head callbacks run here.
No Setup
Returns: painter request.
Example
deixis-prepare-connector(path, heads: (body: "stealth"))
Place the painted request at path.origin yourself. Relative styles/custom heads may need context. It consults no document defaults, page layer or automatic crossing group.
deixis-prepare-connector
deixis-prepare-connector(route, stroke: black + 1pt, heads: none, cuts: none, gap-marks: none)
Prepares a deixis-route result for native or custom painting. Routing is not repeated. Head callbacks run once here; their returned content runs when painted. Styles/font lengths/custom heads can require a Typst context. No page/layer, registration, automatic crossings or state defaults are consulted. Paint with deixis-render-connector(request), placed at route.origin yourself.

route
Successful source-local geometry returned by deixis-route or an accepted route-group entry.
stroke
One shaft stroke, or none. A disabled shaft may still have independently styled heads.
heads
Native head name, reusable head record/callback, or (mark: …, body: …); a single head selects the target.
cuts
Optional original-route arc-length cut records. Cutting preserves the underlying curve.
gap-marks
Optional slash/bar marks or settings record for surviving internal gaps; separate from page continuations.
